Description
Natural iodine comes from a North Atlantic algae (Kelp).
Kelp is an enormous algae. This iodine rich algae comes from the North Atlantic and can grow up to 50 meters long in the case of the California Kelp. A lack of iodine can have negative effects on physical and mental development.
Iodine is an essential trace element in human life. The daily needs of a healthy adult are of around 150µg a day, while a pregnant women should consume between 200 and 290µg.
It is used to create thyroid hormones, such as thyroxine. Its absence causes glandular turgescence, which manifests itself via a goitre. A lack of iodine can cause mental health problems.

How to use it
