With this blend of Minerals or this rinse solution produced from this blend, both carefully adapted to nasal secretion, you can thoroughly and gently rid your nose of mucus, pathogens, allergens and impurities, such as dust and dirt.
It contains :
- sodium hydrogen carbonate to help dissolve viscous, stubborn secretions and neutralise Metabolism inflammation,
- potassium sulphate to help decongest the nasal mucosa and improve blood circulation,
- natural spring salt with minerals and trace elements to remineralise and revitalise the nasal mucosa
Rhinicur® nasal rinse salt for Children contains no chemical additives designed to preserve or improve the flow properties, as is often the case with e.g. cooking salt.
How to use it
- Fill the nasal douche with lukewarm distilled or previously boiled water (boil for 1 to 3 minutes, then allow to return to body temperature). Always use sterile or pre-boiled Water.
- Take the filled nasal douche in one hand and plug the small hole in the cap with your index finger. Use the other hand to lift up the nozzle.
- Press the tip of the Shower against one nostril to block it.
- Now tilt your head slightly over a washbasin and open your mouth wide. This prevents the rinsing liquid from running down your throat.
- Only now raise your index finger to clear the hole. The nasal rinse solution automatically flows into the lower part of the nasal cavity, rinses the nasal septum and exits through the other nostril.
- To rinse the upper part of the nasal cavity, compress the Shower slightly in the centre. The rinsing pressure is then higher and the solution flows into the upper part of the nasal cavity. Repeat the operation, placing the Shower in the other nostril.
Children can be rinsed up to 3 times a day, each time using a 125 ml solution.
Compositions & ingredients
The composition may be subject to variations, so we advise you to always check the list on the purchased product.
Composition: Natural spring salt (50g/kg), Hydrogen carbonate (205g/kg), Sodium chloride (725g/kg), Potassium sulphate (20g/kg).
Do not rinse the nose in Children:
- in the presence of lesions of the nasal vault and sinus walls directly connected to the cerebral fluid compartments
- if there is a tendency to severe nasal haemorrhage
- if a lack of coordination leads to inhalation of flushing fluid and associated attacks of coughing and breathlessness.
In this case, the rinsing treatment should be stopped and resumed only when the Children's motor skills permit.
Do not use tap water (of uncertain quality) to make the rinse solution. Never use stagnant water or residual rinse solution to avoid contamination.
In very rare cases, application may lead to slight tingling in the nose, such as itching and burning. In some cases, liquid may leak down the throat and be swallowed or inhaled, causing coughing and shortness of breath. No countermeasures are necessary.
