Description
MELICARE Healing Gel Nipples, Caesarean section and perineum Medical device class IIb, sterile - CE 0459 30g
The high concentration of sugar in honey (almost 80% w/v) limits bacterial colonisation through an osmotic effect, reinforcing the protective barrier created by honey's high viscosity. Combined with an occlusive dressing, it creates a moist environment, conducive to tissue repair and good wound healing. It prevents Plasters from sticking to the wound, so they can be replaced without trauma. It also reduces unpleasant odours.
INDICATIONS: Melicare® Healing Gel is intended for the treatment of surgical wounds and daily use wounds such as :
Cracks in the nipple caused by milk feeding.
Perineal wounds (episiotomies and tears).
