In 1947, JOHANNES ITEM created a brand of hair care products bearing his name. In his native country of Switzerland, he perfected a product line designed to slow down hair loss.
ITEM (… the brand) will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary in a few months.
Besides, the ITEM brand undertook studies in order to find a treatment in the form of a lotion and was faced with refuting the false notion that only dirty hair could harbor lice. This new treatment was based on natural ingredients extracted from chrysanthemums and appreciated for its anti-parasitic, insecticide, and repellent properties. The terrible cycle of pediculosis outbreaks at the beginning of each school year could be broken.
Since then, constant evolution has allowed the brand to become a benchmark in hair care with a product line of therapeutic shampoos for problemhair and scalps as well as a product line completely dedicated to the treatment of pediculosis.
