A brand that takes care of skin and hair
Ducray is a brand that offers a lot of assets to its consumers. Thanks to these and its work in close collaboration with pharmacists and dermatologists , the brand has developed a rich range for many problems related to the face, body and hair. Since its aim is to provide a quick and simple answer to all everyday needs, Ducray stands out thanks to its expertise in dermatology .
Face skin prone to imperfections
More than 3 million of French people are affected by skin problems, especially acne. Indeed, imperfections on the face are the first reason why people see a dermatologist. Ducray has understood that acne is a plague for both teenagers and young adults. With an influent dermatologist, the brand has developed the first anti-biofilm active in France and in the world: myrtacine. The Keracnyl range has become a major actor for skins prone to imperfections thanks to a well-defined routine: a cleansing gel, a soothing treat, an anti- spot care and a correction stick. Keracnyl products can perfectly accompany medical treatments against acne. The range among other things provides a rebalancing of sebum. The 4 flagship products tackle the control of blackheads, PP for pimples, Repair for sterile cosmetics lovers and a serum for more mature skins prone to acne too. (usually for men and women aged 25 to 40 years).
Body eczema
Eczema affects lots of people and can be a plague in the everyday life. Ducray offers a range dedicated to the soothing of this problem. Dexyane aims to treat and moisturise the epidermis. After more than 10 years of research, the Pierre Fabre laboratories brand has been able to offer this efficient and adapted solution to all. The range is dedicated to severely dessicated atopic skins. It was developed to soothe irritation and / or itching. Dexyane cream or balm, anti-scratch emollients and overgreased cleansing gel can relieve very dry skins prone to atopy. The three products should be used every day, right out of the shower or bath. This is a true anti-irritation solution that helps repair the skin barrier and instantly soothes fragile skins. It helps protect the skin daily and combat recurrence. To accompany the daily routine, it is essential to have some "Dexyane Med". This cream should be applied in thin layer on unrepaired eczema patches.
Hair and scalp
Ducray defines himself as the expert in dandruff troubles. The brand treats all types of dandruff on all types of scalp. All the shampoos of the brand have an anti-fungal base and a washing base suitable for all types of scalp. For hair care, the brand offers a dozen ranges to its consumers. Shampoos for dandruff, dry dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, sensitive scalp, hair loss for the whole family: Ducray offers solutions for the everyday life of each one. For each hair problem, Ducray offers a dedicated and targeted product . For example, for sebo- scaly scalps, you can use the Kelual DS shampoo 3 times a week, for 5 minutes during 15 days.
Ducray: a brand committed to the environment
Very committed to the well-being of its consumers, the brand has an eco-friendly approach. For several years, the Ducray dermatology laboratories have been moving in an eco-citizen approach and setting an objective for a total respect of the environment. The brand first started with its first extra soft shampoo. Today an active eco-design initiative has taken the lead in order to minimise the impact on the environment. Ducray has succeeded with biodegradable formula and recyclable capsule bottles.
In 2012, it launched a carbon offset project : Zandal. Again around its extra-gentle shampoo, Ducray has developed a partnership of acacia plantations with farmers in Mali. Today, the brand is satisfied since it offsets 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions (particularly related to the manufacture of this product).
An avant-garde idea upstream the success story
It all began in 1931 thanks to the invention of the first shampoo answering to dermatological indications: the Lik's soap. An innovation, rather avant-garde for the time which literally propelled Mr Ducray to the top. He decided to create a new distribution circuit: the pharmacy. Then, in 1969, a meeting with Mr Pierre Fabre changed the course of things and made the difference. Ducray became the reference in skin, hair and scalp treats.
