I've known that for decades, using nothing now but Dr. Hauschka skincare, and especially the Cleansing Milk!. I have large pores in areas of my face, have used the scrubs and rough treatments to cleanse them in the past until I tried the Cleansing Milk, morning and night, and soon found I need never go back to using anything else for the job. Although maybe unconvincing on first application that this product would be a deep enough skin wash - because this milk goes on so silky smooth - its topically-gentler ingredients soon proved to me to do more for cleansing the pores, smoothing everything out, enhancing my skin's look and feel, and most importantly maintaining a more beneficial complexion than any of the former cleansers I had tried. -- In the long term, scrubs and alcohol-based cleansers will not bring you the healthy skin like this does. As I say, when you first apply it, you will not be convinced that it will get inside your pores and cleanse -- because it is so smooth it seems to stay on the skin surface. I use no cloth, only hands when I wash my face: Ideally, wet your face with alternating hot and cold water, ending with the hot -- or at least a warm -- application. Then squirt a pea-size amount of the Cleansing Milk into the palm of one hand, rub slightly together between both hands, and tamp it onto the face all over with both hands. The 'Milk' will work its way deep enough if you work a few seconds tamping (better then rubbing in circles with fingertips!) It takes me just seconds to do this. Ideally leave on for 3-5 minutes, or rinse off immediately if in a hurry. In rinsing, it may feel as though the 'milk' is not actually rinsing off, because a silkiness remains on the face. Don't worry, you have rinsed enough, and it IS off! No cleanser build-up with this product. The skin just feels remarkably softer. I do a daily morning and evening wash with Cleansing Milk, followed up with a Dr.H.facial Toner and, if it's daytime, moisturizing or revitalizing creams. At age 69 my skin is the best it's ever been!
