Prevention and treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis).
Fleas on the dog are killed within a day of treatment. A single treatment prevents re-infestation by fleas for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of a treatment programme for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) when the condition has already been diagnosed by a vet.
The product has acaricidal efficiency on ticks lasting 4 weeks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus) and 3 weeks (Dermacentor reticulatus) and repellent efficiency on Ixodes ricinus lasting 3 weeks.
Ticks already present on the dog at the time of treatment may not be killed during the two days following administration of the treatment and may remain attached and visible. It is therefore advisable to remove any ticks present when the treatment is applied, to prevent them attaching to the dog and taking a blood meal.
A single treatment provides repellent (anti-gorging) activity against the sandfly Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks and against the mosquito Aedes aegypti from 7 days to 14 days after treatment.
Reduced the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum transmitted by sandflies(Phlebotomus perniciosus) for up to 3 weeks. The effect is indirect due to the activity of the product on the vector.
How to use it
a. Dosage and route of administration
For external use only (spot-on use). Apply to uninjured Skin only.
The minimum recommended dose is : 10 mg imidacloprid per kg body weight and 50 mg permethrin per kg body weight.
Apply to the Skin according to the animal's body weight as follows:
Dogs (weight in kg) | Dosage | Pipette volume (mL) | Imidacloprid (mg/kg body weight) | Permethrin (mg/kg body weight) |
≤ 4kg | 200 mg/40 mg spot-on solution for dogs up to 4 kg | 0.4 mL | 10 (minimum) | 50 (minimum) |
> 4 kg ≤ 10 kg | 500 mg/100 mg spot-on solution for dogs from 4 to 10 kg | 1.0 mL | 10 - 25 | 50 - 125 |
> 10 kg ≤ 25 kg | 1250 mg/250 mg spot-on solution for dogs from 10 to 25 kg | 2.5 mL | 10 - 25 | 50 - 125 |
> 25 kg ≤ 40 kg | 2000 mg/400 mg spot-on solution for dogs over 25 kg | 4.0 mL | 10 - 16 | 50 - 80 |
For dogs weighing Plus 40 kg, use the appropriate combination of pipettes.
To ensure correct dosing, the animal's weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
To reduce re-infestation by the emergence of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all dogs in the household. Other pets living in the same household should also be treated with an appropriate product.
In order to reduce parasite pressure in the environment, it is recommended that an appropriate treatment of the environment against adult fleas and their developmental stages be used as a supplement.
Depending on ectoparasitic pressure, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment. The interval between 2 treatments should be 4 weeks. However, in the event of intense and/or prolonged exposure to water, the duration of efficiency may be reduced. In this case, a minimum interval of one week should be observed between applications.
To protect a dog throughout the sandfly season, the treatment must be applied continuously throughout this period.
Transient cosmetic changes may be observed at the application sites (i.e. flaking of the skin, white deposits and stuck-on hairs).
b. Method of administration
Remove a pipette from the pack. Hold the pipette applicator in an upright position. Squeeze the narrow end of the pipette to ensure that all the contents are in the main body of the pipette, rotate and remove the cap. Place the cap, upside down, on the pipette. Press and twist the cap to puncture the pipette, then remove the cap from the pipette.
For dogs weighing 10 kg or less:
With the dog in an upright position, spread the hair between the shoulder blades until the Skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
For dogs weighing Plus 10 kg:
With the dog in an upright position, apply the entire contents of the pipette evenly to four points on the animal's back, from the shoulders to the base of the tail. At each application point, spread the hair until the animal's Skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press gently to deposit some of the solution on the skin. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution to one of the application points, as this could cause the solution to run down the dog's sides.
c. Contraindications
In the absence of available data, do not use in puppies under 7 weeks of age or weighing less than 10 kg.
Do not use in the event of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to one of the excipients.
Do not use in cats (see "Special precautions for use").
d. Warnings specific to each target species
The attachment of a tick or the bite of mosquitoes or sandflies remains possible. Consequently, the transmission of infectious diseases by these parasites cannot be totally excluded under unfavourable conditions.
Since the product has a repellent effect (anti-gorging) against Aedes aegypti mosquitoes 7 days after treatment, it is preferable to apply the product a week before animals are likely to be exposed to these mosquitoes.
The product remains effective against fleas if the animal is wet. After weekly immersion in water for one minute, the duration of insecticidal efficiency against fleas was not reduced. However, intense and prolonged exposure to water should be avoided. In the event of repeated or prolonged exposure to water, the duration of efficiency may be reduced. In these cases, the treatment should not be repeated more than once a week. If a dog requires shampooing, this should be carried out before applying the product or at least 2 weeks after application, to optimise the product's efficiency.
The efficiency of this product against ticks and the repellent activity of this product after bathing or shampooing has not been studied.
Immediate protection against sandfly bites has not been documented. Dogs treated to reduce the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum transmitted by sandflies P. perniciosus should be kept in a protected environment for the first 24 hours after the initial application of treatment.

Avoid contact between the contents of the pipette and the eyes or mouth of treated dogs.
Ensure that the product is administered correctly as described under "Dosage and route of administration". In particular, take care to prevent ingestion of the product by licking the application site by treated animals or by animals in contact with the treated animals.
Do not use in cats.
This medicine is extremely dangerous in cats and may be lethal, given the particular physiology of cats and their inability to metabolise certain compounds including permethrin. To avoid cats being accidentally exposed to the product, keep treated dogs away from cats until the application site is completely dry. It is important that cats do not lick the application site of a recently treated dog. If this happens, contact your vet immediately.
Consult your vet before using this product on sick and weakened dogs.

In the event of accidental contact with the skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
People with known skin sensitivities may be particularly sensitive to this product.
The predominant symptoms, although extremely rare, that may be observed are transient sensory irritation of the skin such as tingling, burning or numbness.
In the event of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If skin or eye irritation persists, seek medical advice immediately and show the instructions or label.
Do not ingest. If the product is accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the instructions or label.
Do not allow Children to touch treated animals until the application site is dry.
This can be ensured by treating the animals in the evening. Do not allow recently treated dogs to sleep with their owners, especially Children.
Keep pipettes in their original packaging. To prevent Children gaining access to used pipettes, they should be disposed of immediately.
